CPO1 Alejandro Felizardo has chosen to attend RRC Polytechnic for a hands-on approach to mechanical engineering. After graduation, Alejandro hopes to pursue a career with Manitoba Hydro. His goal is to help protect the environment and help indigenous people during future engineering projects, making Manitoba a better place for all Manitobans.

He has completed the General Training, Drill and Ceremonial and Basic Seamanship courses at HMCS Quadra. In addition, he has received his Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Certificate (ROC(M)), expert level Marksman and level 2 Communicator.

Alejandro was the co-organizer of The Peace for Ukraine Chess Tournament, which was a fundraiser to help Ukrainian refugees. The event was a complete success and was featured on a Global newscast. He also participated in his schools Gardening Club maintaining their garden to help support their school’s food programs.

As coxswain, embraced his leadership role ensuring that all division petty officers were informed and provided guidance each parade night. He also realized he was a role model for the other Cadets, and as such, he encouraged all the Cadets to try their best and push beyond their limits, both in the Cadet program and life in general. His favourite role as a leader was the classroom instruction of the junior Cadets.
